Charles E. Franklin, age 81, of Calera, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013, in Alexander City. Mr. Franklin was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and an avid Alabama Football Fan, “Roll Tide.” Charles retired from Blue Circle Cement Plant in Calera.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lilly Faye Franklin; sons, Ronnie Franklin (Regena), Greg Franklin (Jean) and Barry Franklin; grandchildren, Hillary Franklin, Jennifer Barker, Lisa Cannon, Brent Franklin, Ethan Franklin and Laura Beth Franklin; and great-grandchild, Cali Florence.

His funeral service will be held on May 9 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to his service, interment to follow in the Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. Please share condolences online at RockcoFuneralHomes.com; Rockco Funeral Home of Montevallo directing.
