Calera 8U takes second at tourney

The Calera 8U All-Star Softball team took second place in the Thorsby Tournament June 13-15.

The Calera 8U All-Star Softball team took second place in the Thorsby Tournament June 13-15. The team lost the opener to Clanton, 8-4, but went on a run through the rest of the tournament, beating the likes of North Chilton, 13-9, tying Chelsea 12-12, beating South Bibb , 20-1 and Columbiana, 16-4 before falling to Chelsea in the championship round, 14-13.
