The Alabama Department of Transportation will close portions of Alabama 119 from Pelham to the Jefferson County line, and will perform rolling roadblocks on the road next week.

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 24, ALDOT will begin striping a recently repaved section of Alabama 119 between U.S. 31 in Pelham to U.S. 280 in Hoover, according to an ALDOT road advisory issued on June 21. The striping work will be conducted until 6 a.m.

ALDOT will continue the project each night through Friday, June 28.

“This work will require limited lane closures and short-duration rolling roadblocks,” read the advisory. “Disruption to traffic should be minimal.”

During the same days and time periods, ALDOT also will close portions of Alabama 119 from U.S. 280 to the Shelby-Jefferson county line to perform repaving operations.
