The Calera 8U All-Star softball team finished third in the Area Central South Tournament June 20-22. The team travelled to Clanton, where they won four games and lost two. They took down Columbiana 14-2, lost to Clanton, 13-8, beat South Bibb, 12-3, defeated North Chilton, 16-4, and beat Columbiana, 13-4, before falling to Chelsea, 10-8, in an elimination game. The team is coached by Danny Couch.
