According to Alabaster police incident reports, the robbery happened at about 10:50 p.m. on June 29 at a residence in the 100 block of Allen Drive.

Alabaster Police Chief Curtis Rigney said the department received a call reporting the robbery before issuing a suspect and vehicle description to officers. The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint, Rigney said.

A few minutes later, Alabaster police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s near the intersection of U.S. 31 and Alabama 119. Officers discovered the items reported stolen and an airsoft gun in the suspect’s vehicle and placed him under arrest, Rigney said.
