Richard Allen Karbo Jr., age 59, of Calera, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in Alabaster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Karbo; parents, Richard Karbo Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth Karbo; and his brother, George Allen Karbo.

Richard is survived by his sons, Shane Smith and Joey Broussard; brother, Robert Karbo (Julie); and sisters, Susan Marie Hartnett, Mary Lou Wolfe (Chuck), Carol Ann Nichols (Jimmy) and Margaret Teressa Karbo (Mark). He is also survived by his granddaughter, Makayla Lee Broussard; and grandson, Mason Broussard.

There was a graveside service at Montevallo Cemetery on July 27 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wade Adkins officiating.
