Lane closures planned on highways 31, 119 and I-65

The Alabama Department of Transportation will close portions of several roads throughout Shelby County this week as crews perform repaving and pavement-marking operations.
The following closures will be held over the next several days:
-Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, crews will close portions of Interstate 65 from Exit 242 in Pelham to Exit 247 in Hoover to install new pavement markers. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
The lane closures will continue on the northbound and southbound sides of I-65 the same times each night through the night of Friday, Aug. 16.
-Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, crews began closing portions of Alabama 119 between Alabama 25 in Montevallo and Shelby County 26 in Alabaster to continue repaving the road. The road reopened at 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.
Parts of the road will be closed during the same times each night through the night of Thursday, Aug. 15.
-Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, crews started closing portions of Alabama 119 between U.S. 280 and the Shelby-Jefferson county line to continue repaving the stretch of road. The road was reopened at 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.
The stretch of Alabama 119 will be closed during the same times each night through the night of Friday, Aug. 16.
-Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11, crews closed portions of U.S. 31 between I-65 in Calera and I-65 in Alabaster to repave portions of the road. All lanes were reopened by 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.
Portions of U.S. 31 will be closed during the same times each night through the night of Friday, Aug. 16.
