Helena native found dead in Birmingham

The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the death of a 26-year-old Helena native and 2005 graduate of Pelham High School.
At about 3:10 a.m. on Aug. 24, Birmingham police responded to a report of a deceased individual at 325 Springs Ave., which is off U.S. 280 near the Shelby-Jefferson county line.
When officers arrived, they discovered Chance Silver deceased in the residence.
“The victim’s condition has prompted detectives to classify this case as a homicide,” read a Birmingham Police Department press release.
As of Aug. 24, no arrests had been made in the case.
