Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and state troopers are working a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned log truck on U.S. 280 eastbound at Klein Road.

The road is located just before the Coosa River bridge entering Talladega County. All lanes of U.S. 280 eastbound are closed, and debris is partially blocking the westbound lanes, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

First responders are working the accident and treating a victim. Drivers are encouraged to be cautious.
