The Fair Nation company will transform a field next to the Vizzini Farms Winery into a festive scene filled with competitions, entertainment and rides as the Alabama State Fair comes to town starting on Sept. 13.

The fair will be located on Shelby County 87 off Interstate 65’s Exit 234 – the Shelby County Airport exit – and will be next to Vizzini Farms, according to fair organizers.

Hours for the fair are as follows:

-Friday, Sept. 13: 4 p.m.-midnight

-Saturday, Sept. 14: noon-midnight

-Sunday, Sept. 15: noon-11 p.m.

-Monday, Sept. 16-Thursday, Sept. 19: 4-11 p.m.

-Friday, Sept. 20: 4 p.m.-midnight

-Saturday, Sept. 21: noon-midnight

-Sunday, Sept. 22: noon-11 p.m.

The fair will feature a variety of rides, competitions, exhibitors, vendors and food concessions. Discounted tickets are available at Alstatefair.com.
