Book lovers will get a chance to rack up on new reads from Oct. 11-13 during the Albert L. Scott Public Library’s annual fall book sale in Alabaster.
The sale, which is being organized by The Friends of the Albert L. Scott Library, will offer thousands of books spanning all genres, ages and interests, according to Friends member Sarah Jones.
On Friday, Oct. 11, the sale will open from 5-7 p.m. as a special preview for library members. Non-members can join at the door on Oct. 11 for as little as $10 and enjoy first choice on the books, Jones said.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, the sale will be open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and will offer paperback books for 50 cents and hardbacks for $1 apiece.
Sunday, Oct. 13 will feature a “fill-a-bag” sale, from 1-3 p.m. During the Sunday sale, shoppers can purchase bags for $5 and fill them with as many books as they will hold.
Proceeds from the sale will help fund programs and activities at the library for children, teens and adults, Jones said.
