The Indian Springs Village Town Council met on Sept. 17, 2013. All council members were present except Brian Stauss.

Motion to approve previous council meeting minutes. Motion passed.

Motion to approve August financial report. Motion passed.

Motion to suspend rules in order to pass motion to raise the amount of money that can be spent on a storage facility for record maintenance to $550. Motion passed. Records will be stored in a facility that costs $531 per year.

Amendment to Business License Ordinance presented. Amendment would have reflected an increase in issuance fee. Mayor Brenda Bell-Guercio requested amendment be held in abeyance pending other business license revisions being reviewed by city attorney. City attorney is drafting an updated Business License Ordinance.

Bell-Guercio has appointed Councilman Jack Mendel as safety coordinator for Indian Springs to fulfill requirements for workman’s comp.

Bell-Guercio informed the council she is appointing Joan Downs, city clerk, to the Planning and Zoning Commission as the mayor’s administrative officer of the municipality. She asked for a motion to endorse the appointment. Motion approved.
