James Wesley “J. W.” Honeycutt, age 68, of Alabaster, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013.

J. W. is survived by his wife, Linda Birchfield Honeycutt; his son, Christopher D. Honeycutt (Emily); his daughter, Tracy Lynn Honeycutt; and his sisters, Katherine Harrelson and Deanie Neighbors. He is also survived by his three grandsons, Justin, Ben and Will Honeycutt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ebbin and Ella Honeycutt; his sister, Yvonne Fontenot; and his brother, Art Honeycutt.

J. W. was a loving husband, father and Papa as well as a lifelong LSU fan. He also loved crossword puzzles and fishing and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. Funeral services will be held on Oct. 12 at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with John Thornhill officiating. Burial will follow at Harless Cemetery in Montevallo.
