Marvin W. Taylor, age 70, of Vandiver, passed away on Oct. 9, 2013.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 13 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Vandiver Church of God. Service will be held on Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at Vandiver Church of God. Interment will occur in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gaye Taylor; sons, Mike Taylor and James Stephen “Stevie” Taylor; stepson, Johnny Bartlett (Jenny); daughter, Patti Lynn Bearden (Randy); brother, Jerry Talmadge Taylor; grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Daniel, Lisa, Rebecca, Christopher, Haleigh and Stephen David; and eight great-grandchildren.

He worked hard helping the church with events, and he enjoyed helping others in the community. He was a great people person.
