Pelham residents will have a chance to voice their opinions to city leaders during a town hall meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Civic Complex’s banquet side, and will be open to all Pelham residents.

City Council President Rick Hayes said the mayor and council will not have a strict agenda for the meeting, and will instead open the floor to hear from Pelham residents.

“We will have just appointed our school board (during the council meeting) the night before, so I’m sure we will be talking a lot about that,” Hayes said during a Nov. 6 interview.

Hayes said council members and Mayor Gary Waters will provide updates on several city happenings, such as the recent approval of about $5.8 million in capital projects for the upcoming year and on upcoming major events at the Civic Complex.

“We will talk about what we are trying to do to attract businesses to the city and our passage of the fiscal year 2014 budget,” Hayes said. “We really just want to leave it open to hear from residents.”
