Linda Chastain and Barbara Lyons, who have both lived in the Hoover area for 44 years, are used to getting things done.
Although they are not artists themselves, they have always had an appreciation for music and art, and they have always taken an active role in organizations promoting the city of Hoover. Chastain, 74, remembers when Hoover did not have a library.
“We pushed for a library, and we got it,” Chastain said. “People in Hoover really know how to get things done.”
