David Harold Vinson

David Harold Vinson, age 67, passed away at home on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. He was born on July 7, 1946, in Birmingham.

He is survived by his wife, Gail, of Columbiana.

He was the son of the late Daniel Harold and Wilma Judith Vinson.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Vinson of Huntsville, James Vinson of Birmingham and Robert Bolton III (Amber) of Columbiana; daughters, Holly Bolton of New Jersey and Meg Smith (Levi) of Gulf Shores; grandchildren, John David and Anna Grace Vinson of Helena, Jack, Lexie and Samuel Smith of Gulf Shores and Tinney Bolton of Columbiana; brothers, Michael Vinson of Orlando, Fla., and Douglas Vinson (Egla) of Birmingham; nephew, Cory Vinson; and niece, Abby Vinson of Trussville.

Mr. Vinson retired as Vice President of Hardy Corporation after 28 years, enjoyed traveling and looked forward to drinking coffee each morning with his friends who will serve as honorary pallbearers: Edwin Atchison, Mike Atchison, Chris Curry, Jimmy Denton, Richard Glasgow, Jim Hicks, Ben King, Clifford Moore, Erskine Nichols, Bob O’Connor, Frank Owen Sr., Jimmy Porter, Allen Reynolds and Ocie Speer.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Highway 150, Hoover.
