The Shelby County Arts Council presents its Annual Christmas Artist Market on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m.
This is a great place to shop for unique and beautiful Christmas gifts made by local artisans. The event is free and will be held at the Arts Council Gallery, 104 Mildred Street, Columbiana.
There is a wide range of art that will be available for purchase directly from the artists. Sandra Annonio, Candye Lundy and Stephanie Dikis will be selling their pottery; Charlotte McFarland will have hand blown glass art; Lindsay Dyess and DeAnne Thorn will have printmaking art; Shawna Harmon and Pam Britnell will have hand-crafted jewelry; photographers Madeline Carr Bonnet and Stacy Perry will have a booth; Larissa Lynn Brechun and Heather Orlando will sell paintings; and Fabric artist Sally Chew will have scarfs and wearable art. Also look for calendars, handmade greeting cards and Christmas decorations.
Undecided on a gift? Give a gift certificate! Lucky recipients can use the gift certificate for classes, tickets to shows or art purchases. Winter Season Performance passes are now available and can be purchased in person at the Artist Market or online. The winter season includes five shows between January and March for only $85.
If you have questions about any of the classes or shows please call 205-669-0044 or visit Shelbycountyartscouncil.com.
