HOOVER — Berry Middle School will resume classes Thursday, Jan. 16, after damage to a heating and cooling system forced the school to close Wednesday, Jan. 15.

A professional crew has since repaired and cleaned the heating and cooling system, according to a Hoover City Schools news release. An overnight system malfunction dumped a significant amount of water in a portion of the school. The damage was discovered before the school day began, and students were diverted to nearby Spain Park High School as they arrived.
