Gerald Wayne Millican, 83, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at the Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. Services were at 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery near Cruger, Miss. Rev. Lee Roy Button officiated.

Mr. Millican was a resident of Columbiana for the past nine years. Gerald was a faithful member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church where he had served as deacon and taught Sunday school classes. He retired from GMAC in 1982 with 31 years of service. After retiring, he and his wife, Sarah, lived in Grenada, Miss. and Harrison, Ark., before moving to Columbiana.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Kimes Millican; two daughters, Roxane Shilka and Melinda Towns; a son, Clint Millican; six grandchildren, Joshua Talentino, Gabriella Talentino, Catherine Shilka, Edward Shilka, Phillip McMellon and Daniel McMellon; a sister, Melba Wilson; and a brother, Kenneth Millican.
