A 27-year-old Alabaster resident died on Feb. 15 after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Shelby County 12 about two miles north of Alabaster.

According to the Alabama State Troopers Birmingham post, Wilson Tyler Poole died when the 2009 Lexus he was driving left the road and collided with a tree at about 7:15 a.m.

State Troopers said Poole was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

As of Feb. 17, the wreck was still being investigated by the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
