MONTEVALLO—Want to get more bang for your buck?

Parnell Library in Montevallo will host a couponing class led by Angela Treadaway, Regional Extension Agent with the Alabama Cooperate Extension System, Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m.

“This is a great class for those ‘coupon collectors’ who cut but lost or forget to use their coupons, or who are not using them as effectively as they would like,” director Allie Williams said.

The class will focus on teaching couponing strategies such as the best places to find coupons, how to read coupons and how to combine them for the best deal. Information on organization tools and websites with more information will also be provided.

Attendees need nothing but a pen, Williams said, as handouts for taking notes, refreshments and a door prize will be provided.

The class is part of the Smart investing @ your library grant the library received through the American Library Association and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation to promote unbiased financial and investor education.

As part of this grant, Parnell Memorial Library has offered many programs such as classes on protecting your identity, saving tips for young adults, financial literacy tips for Spanish speakers and a savings-themed storytelling program with Dolores Hydock.
