Alabaster mayor meeting with city’s business owners March 21
By NEAL WAGNER / Managing Editor
Alabaster Mayor Marty Handlon will host an open forum on March 21 for the city’s business owners to voice their questions and concerns.
The city’s quarterly business meeting will be held on Friday, March 21 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Alabaster City Hall, 1953 Municipal Way.
Handlon said the upcoming meeting will feature a different format from the city’s previous business meetings.
“All of the past meetings have had an agenda, but we really haven’t been getting a good consistent turnout,” Handlon said. “I think if we just have an open forum, it will give the business owners a chance to share their questions and comments.
“We want to do what we can to help them,” Handlon said.
The city also is asking Alabaster business owners to fill out a business-oriented survey on the city’s website. Handlon said the city will use feedback from the survey to more effectively support the city’s businesses.
