Grace Barton Green, age 82, of Columbiana, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husbands, C. F. Douglas Sr., Harrell Barton and William Green; and sons, Cleve Edward Douglas and Jacob Lee Douglas.

Grace was a case worker at The Children’s Aide Society of Alabama in Birmingham for 35 years where she touched very many lives. Her survivors include her daughters, Patricia S. Burcham (Paul), Jeannie Hutto (Anthony) and Victoria Noyes; sons, Edgar Harrell “Hoss” Barton (Barbara) and Brian Scott Barton (Ginger); sisters, Margaret Collins (Gerald) and Betty Carter (Buddy); brother, Billy Lambert (Patsy); grandchildren, Christy Allen (James), Michael Mims (Linda), Dallas Schorfhaar (Stacey), Brandyn Barton, Cody Douglas, Amanda Douglas and Gracie Douglas; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be March 29 from noon-2 p.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. Pastor James Simpson will officiate the services.
