Martha Jane Hill went home to be with her Lord on March 30, 2014. Born July 8, 1948, she is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mary Cash; husband, D.C. Smitherman; sisters, Mary Ann Medders and Margie Burnett; and brothers, Lem Cash, Garland Cash, Cecil Cash and Joe Cash.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie Cash, Lamar Cash, Ray Hill and Wade Hill (April); daughters, Deonna Pickett (Derrick) and Jennifer Hill; brothers, Billy Cash, Aubrey Cash (Doris), Steve Cash (Marie) and Richard Cash; sisters, Opal Jones, Ophelia Huff, Linda Fay Kuch and Reba Austin; four step-children; twelve grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Martha was a beloved member of her community who enjoyed the simpler things that life has to offer. Her hobbies included fishing, collecting antiques and spending time with her wonderful family. Martha Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was on April 1 at Rockco Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. for friends. Her graveside services were held on April 2 at 1 p.m. in Pineland Cemetery in Centreville, officiated by Brother Mike Allen. Pallbearers included Keith Hill, Justin Pickett, Bryan Cash, Derrick Pickett, Scott Medders and Jacob Medders.
