FROM STAFF REPORTS

MONTEVALLO–Five University of Montevallo sorority women represented UM at the Southeastern Panhellenic Conference held recently in Atlanta. The women attended professional development and leadership training seminars and gathered information to bring back to UM’s Panhellenic Council and their sorority chapters.

Molly Dean, of Prattville, UM Panhellenic president and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, was selected to be an SEPC Conference Coordinator for the 2015 conference. This prestigious position is given to only five college women each year. Dean will serve with four other students from the Southeast on the conference committee along with her Panhellenic advisor.

Brinkley Jones, of Montgomery, a member of Phi Mu, completed the Emerging Leaders program while at SEPC. Emerging Leaders is a program initiated this year to train freshman and sophomore sorority women to reach their full leadership potential and empower young women to lead in all fields.

Other representatives from Montevallo were Hannah Bell, of Moody, Panhellenic administrative vice president and a member of Delta Gamma; Camille Weeks, of Sulligent, Panhellenic Delegate for Alpha Delta Pi; and Abigail Bradley, of Mobile, a member of Alpha Delta Pi.
