University of Montevallo closing early

MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo will close April 28 at 1 p.m. The closing includes all classes and activities, but will not impact exams scheduled to conclude by 12:30 p.m.
“We are facing an unpredictable weather situation that has the potential to be very dangerous. A wide scope of weather activity ranging from tornadoes to flooding to damaging straight-line winds and large hail is possible,” the according to a post by the UM university relations team on Facebook.
All residence halls, Farmer Hall and Ramsay Hall basement are listed as university shelters, according to the UM university relations team.
