Margaret Ann Patmalnee, age 79, a lifetime resident of Westover, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her daughter’s residence in Monroe, Ohio. She was born Aug. 5, 1934, in Siluria. She served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. She was an E.M.T./paramedic for the Harpersville-Gill’s Ambulance Service for eight years and volunteered at the Westover Fire Department. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union United Methodist Church of Westover.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frederick and Mary Elizabeth (Brown) Cassels; her husband, Retired Sergeant Major Peter Charles Patmalnee Sr. in 1997; two sons, Peter Charles “Butch” Patmalnee Jr. in May 2008 and William Tracy Patmalnee in March 2012; and one brother, Benjamin F. Cassels.
She is survived by four children, Michael R. Patmalnee, Teresa A. Mack, Brenda Martin (Bob) and Roger Patmalnee (Connie); 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be May 16 from noon-2 p.m. at the Bolton Funeral Home, 207 Highway 47 South, Columbiana, followed by graveside services at the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Westover, with Rev. Buddy Brown officiating. Interment will follow with military honors by the Marine Honor Guard.
