Dorothy Luverne Polk, age 82, of Columbiana, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 9 at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Thurmond Clecker officiating. Burial is to follow in Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on June 9 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Mrs. Polk is preceded in death by her husband, Burl Samuel Polk; children, Linda Gail Chandler and William Benjamin Redhead III; and a grandson, Jason Conn.

She is survived by her children, Susan Conn (Michael), Sybil Jones (Mike) and Martha Bath (Dan); grandchildren, Kelly Burley (Walker) and John Carter (Natalie), Emily Best, Ryan Best (Naomi), Tabetha Best, Lacey Robinson (Bo), Brandon Jones and Nicholas Jones; great-grandchildren, Catherine, Abby and Connor Burley, Gracie and Alexis Robinson, Madison and Liam Carter, Jacob Best, Donovan and Dustin Best and Ally Best; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
