Deputies searching for suspect after domestic violence call, traffic stop

CHELSEA — Authorities are looking for a 31-year-old Chelsea man after responding to a domestic violence call June 9.
David William Ricketts has an outstanding warrant for a probation violation and he could face additional charges stemming from the domestic violence call, according to a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office news release.
At about 6:15 p.m. June 9, a sheriff’s deputy observed Ricketts traveling on U.S. 280. The deputy initiated a traffic stop near the Eagle Point subdivision, where Ricketts fled on foot. Ricketts is described as 5-foot-10 white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue shorts, a white shirt and a camouflage hat. Deputies will remain in the area throughout the night looking for Rickets.
Residents in the area are urged to report any suspicious activity to the sheriff’s office and emergencies to 911. Anyone with information about Ricketts’ whereabouts is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 669-4181.
