HOOVER – St. Vincent’s One Nineteen will be hosting its annual block party and health festival June 21 from 5-8 p.m.
“At St. Vincent’s One Nineteen, we’re dedicated to serving the overall health and wellness needs of our community,” said Stephanie Holderby, executive director of St. Vincent’s One Nineteen and vice president of operations for the St. Vincent’s Ambulatory Healthcare Network.
The festival will feature live entertainment from the Rock Candy Band, as well as a demonstration from the Flyball Dogs.
Festivities will include rock wall climbing, fitness demonstrations, a Tumblebus, face painting, games and even free Zumba, hula-hoop and spinning introductions.
Strength and conditioning competitions will preview St. Vincent’s One Nineteen new sports performance program.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet local physicians and receive free health screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, skin cancer, vision, hearing and more.
“Whether it’s through our fitness and spa offerings, wellness education, diagnostics or physician offices, St. Vincent’s One Nineteen is here to provide the resources to make that possible,” said Holderby.
Health information booths and free chair massages will also offer their services.
Food will be available from Cantina On Wheels, Kona Ica, Coca-Cola and Chick-Fil-A.
“Through our annual Block Party, we are thanking our community for their continued support over the years, but most importantly, giving them another opportunity to make their health a priority,” Holderby said.
The community is invited to join this free family-friendly event “rain or shine” at St. Vincent’s One Nineteen in Hoover.
