Choose to adopt and save a life!

Millow (contributed)

Millow is a handsome lab mix with a rusty red coat and a heart of gold. He is nearly 2-years-old and weighs about 45lbs. This fellow acts shy around new people and in new situations, but after a bit of time to get used to you, he makes you feel like a million bucks with his big old smile and happily wagging tail. He is looking for a home that will make him feel safe and secure and part of the family.

Leroy Brown is a 2-year-old tuxedo cat with a very specific need. He needs a lap to warm—regularly, every day. He is a charmer with his good looks, his soft coat, and his loud purr. He seems to prefer to be the center of your universe, like most cats wish to be. And most importantly, he needs a home where he has a lap to warm. He is convinced that is his job and he is determined to do it right.

For more information about these two, email mwayman@shelbyhumane.org or call 205-669-3916. To see the large variety of adoptable cats and dogs at Shelby Humane Society, visit our adoption floor Tuesday through Saturday from 12-5:30pm. Stay tuned to us on Facebook and at Shelbyhumane.org during the ASPCA Rachel Ray $100k Challenge; there are fun new things happening all the time to get the community involved—together we will save more lives than ever before.
