Wilton man arrested and charged with robbery

WILTON—Matthew Jerrod Eddins, 25, was arrested July 4 and charged with first-degree robbery.
Eddins allegedly “while in course of committing or attempting to commit a theft of U.S. currency” did “threaten the imminent use of force against the person” while armed with a handgun, according to court documents.
Eddins, whose address is listed in the 100 block of Depot Street in Wilton, is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $15,000.
Eddins is set to appear before Judge Dan Reeves on July 31. Robbery in the first degree is a Class A felony. If found guilty, Eddins could face between ten and 99 years in prison.
