SCSO deputies arrested 41-year-old Scott Hedleston Morrow, who lists an address in the 2800 block of Shelby County 93 in Helena, on July 25 and charged him with the two felony counts.

SCSO Capt. Ken Burchfield said the arrest stemmed from a domestic incident, during which Morrow assaulted his girlfriend and allegedly took her against her will, leading to the second-degree kidnapping charge.

According to Morrow’s arrest warrant, he allegedly “threatened to shoot/kill (the victim) and her family members,” leading to the terrorist threat charge.

As of July 25, Morrow was being held in the Shelby County Jail on bonds totaling $45,000.

Second-degree kidnapping is a Class B felony, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison upon conviction, and making a terrorist threat is a Class C felony, punishable by up to 10 years upon conviction.
