Edna Johnson Staggs Vines, age 92, of Wilsonville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 11 at Bolton Funeral Home with Dr. Steve Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Aug. 11. Bolton Funeral Home directing.
She was a member of Wilsonville Baptist Church and a graduate of Oak Grove High School in Bessemer. Edna retired from Dixie Neon, Inc., Birmingham after eighteen years of service.
Mrs. Vines was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty five and a half years, Denson Staggs, and by her second husband of twenty seven years, Carl Vines.
She is survived by stepson, Danny Vines (Connie) of Bessemer; brother, James Johnson of Lucedale, Miss; sisters, Vivian Hudson and Emogene Harmon of Fairhope; step-granddaughters, Tonya Echols and Lana Gossett; and several nephews, nieces and friends.
