Brenda Stanford Sparks, 63, passed away on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at her residence. Born on July 26, 1951, in Amory, she was a daughter of the late Bennie Stanford and Ona Ruth Hester Stanford Enlow.
Brenda graduated from Colbert Heights High School. She married Ronald Sparks on Aug. 29, 1970.  Brenda was a homemaker and a member of Suleria Baptist Church.  Outgoing, determined and having a big heart, she was an animal lover.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach and music.
Survivors include her husband, George Ronald Sparks of Alabaster; daughter, Nicole Allen (Luke) of Calera; son, Greg Sparks of West Blocton; grandchildren, Shaye Sparks and Savanna Allen; brother, Glenn Stanford (Charlotte) of Amory; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Kim and Lauren Stanford, Ginger England and Whitney and Will Sparks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Stanford.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 27 in Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Mike Brooks officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg and Steve Sparks, Luke Allen, Jimmy Shaffer, Doug, David, Dale and Mike Hester.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory.
