PELHAM—Looking to trick-or-treat but not stay out too late? Several members of the Pelham business community are offering a fun, safe and earlier alternative to traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating this year.
Farmer’s Insurance, Kai’s Koffee House, Neighborhood CPAP, Linda’s Hair Salon, Boost Mobile and Nails Max, all located in Victoria Plaza on Pelham Parkway, will offer candy and treats to trick-or-treaters starting at 5 p.m. on Oct. 31.
“We just want to provide a safe alternative to trick-or-treating for little ones,” Kai Smith, owner of Kai’s Koffee House, said. “We figured we would do it here as a gesture from the businesses to the community.”
In addition to candy for children, many of the participating businesses in Victoria Plaza will offer promotions and information about their services, Smith said, noting the diversity of the plaza’s business community.
“We’re a melting pot in this little shopping plaza,” Smith said, adding the event also helps promote businesses within Pelham. “So many people do not know what Pelham offers.”
The trick-or-treating event is free and families with children 10 and under are encouraged to stop by.
“We want to do something for the community,” Smith said. “Let’s really bring everyone together.”
