CHELSEA – Summit Pediatrics in Chelsea is open for business and will let the public visit the facility during an open house Dec. 7 from 1-3 p.m.

The open house comes nearly two months after Summit Pediatrics’ grand opening and ribbon cutting on Oct. 3.

“We would like to get the word out we are up and running in Chelsea,” nurse practitioner Darlene Mathis wrote in an email.

Summit Pediatrics has a group of board-certified pediatricians, Dr. Rekha Chadalawada, Dr. David Hardy and Dr. Robert Gray, along with certified nurse practitioners Mathis and Julie Boycott.

The office has separate entrances, waiting rooms and exam rooms for sick and well children to avoid cross contamination.

Summit Pediatrics is located at 134 Foothills Parkway, on the hill across U.S. 280 from Winn Dixie and just behind McDonald’s, in Chelsea.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Saturday.

A Christmas tree lighting, snacks and door prizes will be part of the open house.
