Police Reports for the week of Dec. 3, 2014

The following are incident and offense reports from municipal police departments form Nov. 20-25:

Nov. 20

-Harassing communications from the 100 block of Setting Sun Lane (residence, home).

-Identity theft from the 100 block of Hickory Hills Drive (residence, home). Stolen were an identity and $26,000.

-Information only report from the 3500 block of Pelham Parkway (supermarket).

-Driving under the influence of a controlled substance from the 700 block of Highway 31 South (highway, street). Confiscated were samples.

-Information only report from Alabaster (residence, home).

-Driving under the influence from 11th Avenue Southeast and Highway 31 (highway, street).

-Theft of lost property from Walmart (parking lot, garage). Stolen were a handgun valued at $500, a cell phone valued at $600, a handgun laser valued at $225 and a jacket valued at $100.

-Domestic incident from the 100 block of Equestrian Drive (residence, home).

-Possession of marijuana second degree and possession of a controlled substance from the 600 block of First Street South (highway, street). Confiscated were marijuana and alprazolam.

 

Nov. 21

-Theft of property second degree from the 7000 block of Highway 17 (residence, home). Stolen was $920 in money and $190 in a money order.

-Information only report from Alabaster Tire and Auto Repair (other, unknown). Damaged was a hand rail in the amount of $1,000.

-Information only report from the 100 block of Old Spanish Trail (residence, home).

-Domestic incident from Jimmy Gould Drive (highway, street).

-Hospice death from the 100 block of Windsor Way (residence, home).

-Unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and criminal mischief third degree from Olive Garden (parking lot, garage). Damaged was a Nissan Altima in the amount of $200 and stolen were a purse valued at $50, a Visa card, $300 in cash and a Social Security card.

-Possession of marijuana second degree from the 300 block of Park Road. Confiscated was marijuana.

-Information only from County Road 68 at Allen Drive (highway, street).

 

Nov. 22

-Extortion first degree from the 100 block of Carter Lane (residence, home). Stolen was a money pack.

-Information only report from the 100 block of Kent Hill Cove (other, unknown).

-Hospice death from the 1700 block of Butler Road (residence, home).

-Property damage from the 200 block of property damage from the 200 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast (residence, home). Damaged was a Nissan Sentra in the amount of $20,000.

-Welfare check from Alabaster.

-Theft of property third degree and trespassing notice from Dollar General (department store). Stolen and recovered were ham valued at $4.65, turkey valued at $3.69, cheese valued at $2.59, and pants valued at $26.

-Using a false identity to obstruct justice from Dollar General (department store).

-Criminal mischief third degree from the 100 block of Fifth Court Southeast (residence, home). Damaged was a fence in the amount of $1.

-Menacing from the 500 block of First Street Southwest (department store). Confiscated was a pistol.

-Menacing from the 500 block of First Street Southwest (department store).

-Theft of property second degree (residence, home). Stolen were a digital camera valued at $1,000, a camera valued at $200, a case valued at $40, a flash valued at $40, a remote valued at $40 and equipment valued at $20.

-Open door from the 100 block of Kentwood Trail (residence, home).

-Disorderly conduct from Highway 31 at Highway 119 (highway, street).

-Harassment from the 1000 block of First Street (other, unknown).

-Identity theft from the 1500 block of Kent Dairy road (government, public building). Stolen were identity documents.

-Information only report from Jimmy Gould Drive at Highway 31 (highway, street). Damaged was a Dodge Dart in the amount of $750.

-Information only report from the 200 block of Norwick Forest Drive (residence, home).

-Unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle and theft of property second degree from the 600 block of Colonial Promenade Parkway (parking lot, garage). Stolen was an iPhone valued at $600.

-Burglary third degree and theft of property third degree from the 300 block of Golden Meadows Place (residence, home). Stolen and recovered were copper wire valued at $50, copper wire valued at $80 and damaged was a structure in the amount of $700.

-Burglary third degree and theft of property third degree from the 200 block of Makena Way (residence, home). Stolen were Romex valued at $1 and copper wire valued at $1.

-Property damage from Dick╒s Sporting Goods (department store). Damaged was a Ford F150 in the amount of $500.

-Harassment from the 100 block of 11th Avenue Southeast (residence, home).

-Information only report from Huntsville (other, unknown).

-Domestic incident from the 2000 block of First Avenue West (residence, home).

-Theft of property from the 1500 block of King Charles Place (residence, home). Stolen was a lawnmower valued at $230.

-Welfare check from the 1400 block of Heather Lane (residence, home).

-Abandoned vehicle from the 900 block of Thompson Road (highway, street).

-Criminal mischief third degree from the 100 block of Wooten Road (residence, home). Damaged was a Toyota Corolla in the amount of $150.

-Unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle from the 100 block of Henry Drive (residence, home).

-Found property from the 7600 block of Highway 119 (convenience store). Reported were driver╒s licenses and debit cards.

-Permitting dogs to run at large from the 40 block of Peavine Mobile Home Park (residence, home). Confiscated was a dog.

-Information only report from the 2800 block of Smokey Road.

-Theft of property second degree from the 300 block of Colonial Promenade Parkway (department store). Stolen and recovered were leather jacket valued at $475 and a shirt valued at $69.50.

-Property damage from the 100 block of Plaza Circle (restaurant). Damaged was a Toyota Highlander in the amount of $100.

-Theft of property third degree from the 600 block of Colonial Promenade Parkway (department store). Stolen was a DVD valued at $9.

-Possession of a forged instrument second degree from the 50 block of South Colonial Drive (bank). Forged was a check.

-Information only report from the 1500 block of Secretariat Circle (other, unknown). Reported was a police cruiser.

-Domestic incident and juvenile contact from the 200 block of Old Highway 31 (residence, home).

–Theft of property III from 8154 U.S. 31 (specialty store). A blue Family Dollar basket valued at $10, Gain laundry detergent valued at $20, a broom valued at $10 and miscellaneous merchandise valued at $100 was all stolen.

 

Nov. 23

–Harassment from 1600 block of 22nd Avenue, Calera (highway/street).

–Death investigation from 357 CR 304, Calera (hotel/motel).

–Property damage from 166 Savannah Lane, Calera (residence/home). $150 worth of damage was done to a mailbox.

 

Nov. 24

–Duty to remain at the scene of an accident from Kensington Manor Drive, Calera (parking lot/garage).

–Incident from 1880 16th Street, Calera (other/unknown).

–Harassment/simple assault from 22nd Avenue, Calera (residence/home).

–Property damage from 511 Union Station Place, Calera (highway/street). $1,500 worth of damage was done to a Cadillac SRX SUV.

–Domestic violence/assault III from Sunset Lane, Calera (residence/home).

-Theft of property II from the 400 block of Wilderness Road, Pelham (residence/home). Stolen were an orange and white Stihl concrete saw with diamond blade valued at $1,000, a green Poulan chain saw valued at $150, a blue Ryobi router valued at $250 and an orange Rigid Palm sander valued at $100.

-Reckless driving and property damage from Interstate 65 North at mm 241.5, Pelham (highway/street). Damages in the amount of $550 were done to a vehicle windshield.

Nov. 22

Stolen were a Porter Cable “orbital” sander valued at $50, a Porter Cable “belt” sander valued at $120, a Toro electric leaf blower valued at $75, a Craftsman portable air compressor valued at $100, a Bostitch pneumatic nail gun valued at $100 and Ryobi portable compound “mitre” saw valued at $100.
-Theft of property by deception III from the 3400 block of Pelham Parkway, Pelham (residence/home). Stolen was a American Express prepaid “reload” card valued at $154.

-Miscellaneous information from the 400 block of Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham (restaurant).
-Unlawful possession of marijuana II and possession of drug paraphernalia from Oak Mountain State Park Road at Amphitheater Road (highway/street). Confiscated was a plastic bag containing approximately 3.5 grams of suspected marijuana valued at $50, a clear plastic straw valued at $1 and raw cone rolling paper valued at $1.

Stolen were a white hood to a 1966 Comet valued at $125, two chrome bumpers to a 1966 Comet valued at $300, two black vinyl seats to a 1966 Comet valued at $300 and a blue plasma cutter of an unknown make and model and serial number valued at $800.
