Daniel Ross “Danny” Dyer, age 70, of Montevallo, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 2.
He was a graduate of Bessemer High School. He retired from SouthTrust Bank after 40 years of service, and, most recently, worked for Regions Bank.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Vernon Dyer, Sr. and Helen Burdeshaw Dyer; brothers, William Vernon “Billy” Dyer, Jr., Robert “Bobby” Dyer, Thomas “Ray” Dyer, Sr., and John Grice Dyer.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anne B. (Bible) Dyer; daughter, Helen Renea Dyer; sister, Jessie Mae Anderson of Katy, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.-noon at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo) with the funeral service to begin at noon. Pastor Jim Thompson will officiate. Burial will be held at Valhalla Cemetery in Birmingham at 1:45 p.m.
