Andrew Gunn named CMS Principal

COLUMBIANA–Andrew Gunn was unanimously approved as the new principal of Chelsea Middle School at the Shelby County Board of Education meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18.
Gunn previously held the position of Assistant Principal at Oak Mountain High School and is currently the interim Principal at Chelsea Middle School.
“I just want to say thank you to the board and thank you to everyone who helped make this possible,” Gunn said after being named principal. “Since I came to Shelby County Schools I felt very welcomed and I really believe we do things the right way and I’m just glad to be a small part of that in Shelby County.”
Gunn has over ten years of experience in public education. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University.
