SYLACAUGA- The Vincent Yellow Jackets went to Sylacauga on Tuesday night and were able to pull out a neat five-point victory, moving them to 16-5 on the season.

“We didn’t play real well in the first half,” Vincent Coach John Hadder relayed after the game. “We really lacked energy in the first half.”

Behind a strong second half effort, and on the backs of Jacorey Roper and Jace Green, they were able to pull ahead and fend off Sylacauga.

“In the second half, we acted like we were interested in the game,” smirked Hadder. “We really started to attack the basket more, and Jacorey and Jace really played well.”

Roper had 22 points and 15 rebounds on the night while Greene had 13 and 12, according to Hadder.

Thompson next plays at Shelby County on Jan. 20.
