MT LAUREL—Hilltop Montessori School in Mt Laurel is taking the last week of January to recognize the school’s teachers. Each day from Jan. 26 to Jan. 30, the Hilltop Montessori community will do something special for teachers.

“Every day we do something a little different for the teachers,” Hilltop Montessori Head of School Michele Wilensky said.

Monday, Jan. 26, is “stock your garden day” and chair massages for teachers, Wilensky said. On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Hilltop Montessori teachers will treat the teachers to homemade breakfast.

“The teachers really love the homemade (breakfast),” Wilensky said, noting teachers have to be at school early and don’t often enjoy a home-cooked breakfast.

On Wednesday, Jan. 28, the teachers will enjoy a lunch catered by local Mt Laurel restaurant, Stones Throw Bar and Grill. Students will present their teachers with personalized cards on Thursday, Jan. 29. The Teacher Appreciation Week will conclude with a healthy dessert day on Friday, Jan. 30.

Teacher Appreciation Week is a longstanding tradition at Hilltop Montessori School, Wilensky said.

“We do it once a year, every year,” Wilensky said. “We started since the school opened.”
