ALABASTER—The Church of the Highlands announced the opening of a new Alabaster campus on Feb. 11.

The Alabaster campus, housed at Thompson High School, will join the Church of the Highlands’ other 10 campuses, located across Alabama. Services will be held in the THS auditorium each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. starting March 8.

The new campus is opening in response to high demand in the Alabaster area. According to a post on Church of the Highlands founder and Senior Pastor Chris Hodges, “41 percent of Riverchase Campus (Pelham) members live in the Alabaster area.”

“Hopefully, now we will have room at both locations for your family and friends,” Hodges wrote in his Facebook post.

The Alabaster Board of Education approved an agreement allowing the Church of the Highlands to meet at THS during a Feb. 9 meeting.
