ALABASTER – Those looking for a job in Alabaster will have a chance to interview for a range of positions at America’s Thrift Store in late February.
The Alabaster America’s Thrift Store, which is one of the company’s busiest locations, will hold a job fair from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25. The store is located at 218 Second St. S.W. in the Alabaster Shopping Center.
During the fair, the company will interview candidates for several full- and part-time positions, including sales, technical, production and management-level jobs, according to information distributed by the store.
The Alabaster thrift store underwent renovations, including the addition of new dressing rooms, in spring 2014. Heavy April rains forced the store to close for a few weeks to complete the renovations, drawing “hundreds of calls” from customers asking when the store would reopen, the store’s manager said previously.
While renovations were being made, the store held weekly tent sales each Thursday, Friday and Saturday. All items sold at America’s Thrift Stores benefit ministries such as King’s Home, which offers services to victims of abuse, neglect, homelessness and other tragic life events.
