CHELSEA–Glenn Autry has been the owner of Autry’s Hidden Chapel in Chelsea since 1993 and originally the building was created as a place to minister to teens.

As time went on, Autry decided to make the space for wedding ceremonies, parties and private events.

Autry’s is a turnkey operation and can be ready to perform a ceremony with just a phone call and couples can take advantage of their services.

Judi Kissic, consultant at Autry’s, described some of the things the chapel offers for those wishing to use their facility.

“Couples can come by and get married and the chapel is separate from the reception area,” said Kissic. “Our mini wedding is $300 and includes two 8×10 color portraits to remember the occasion. We also do parties, reunions, church socials and more in addition to weddings.”

Autry’s can seat 120 guests but they have the ability to seat more than 150 if needed. The venue includes acoustic sound in the chapel, a large dance floor in the reception area, full kitchen, outdoor wedding area, bar and pool table area, a nice sound system and more than 10,000 square feet of room.

“We just want to let people know we are here,” said Kissic. “Because of the recent court rulings, those who can’t get married at the courthouse can come here and use our facility.”

Those wishing to have alcohol for a party or wedding reception will be asked to provide a security guard.

Autry’s Hidden Chapel is located near Chelsea City Hall at 540 Teen Town Drive. Those wanting more information may visit their website at Autryshiddenchapel.com.
