HELENA–It’s About Time Urgent Care in Helena has been in business for a few months servicing the Helena community and on Tuesday, May 19, a ribbon cutting was held for the urgent care located at 225 Helena Market Place next to the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Dr. Deborah Stanford and nurse practitioner Elizabeth Deslattes were on hand to share some information about the urgent care and the reasoning behind choosing Helena as the place to run their practice.

“Liz and I have worked together in the urgent care industry for about six or seven years now and we realized early on that we would like to have our own practice,” said Stanford. “Our hope was that we would offer a unique service, not just urgent care but we really enjoy the patients by and large so we wanted to construct a practice that would allow us to do that in our own time and way and provide the support that we need to do that.”

It’s About Time Urgent Care features one doctor and one nurse practitioner as well as medical assistants, X-ray technicians and more.

Some of the services It’s About Time offers include urgent care, occupational health, school and sports exams and Department of Transportation exams.

Helena Mayor Mark Hall attended the ribbon cutting and he has already taken advantage of the businesses services.

“We’re just so happy that you’re here and I know the second day ya’ll opened I came down and got my allergy and steroid shot,” said Hall. “I was so happy that I could just walk in, so you’re filling a niche that we just didn’t have in Helena.”

It’s About Time Urgent Care’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We have not been disappointed in any way,” said Stanford. “The volumes have far surpassed anything that we expected and the community has just been wonderful and it’s our goal to really be apart of this community and be involved in giving back and providing services for you.”
