HELENA–Magic City Smooth Jazz’s popular event, Jazz in the Park, will be returning to the Helena Amphitheater on Sunday, July 12, and family, friends and residents in Helena are encouraged to come out and enjoy the festivities.

The event is free to the public and the performance hours are set to begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.

Each summer, Magic City Smooth Jazz presents Jazz in the Park, which is a series of free performances in various local parks, according to the website.

Local Alabama jazz musicians open for headlining acts, thereby providing a platform for them to showcase their talent and artistry.

The artists set to perform at the Helena Amphitheater are the RAW Jazz Trio and Willie Bradley.

Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs as they enjoy the smooth sounds of jazz.

Magic City Smooth Jazz is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to expose and engage audiences in underserved communities to various styles of jazz music.

Another notable performance includes a Fourth of July show at Birmingham’s Railroad Park featuring Darryl Evan Jones and the Birmingham Heritage Band.
