Make your stage debut in Vocal Performance Workshop

If you yearn to sing in front of an audience, here’s your chance.

Register for the SCAC Vocal Performance two-day Workshop to be held on July 7 and July 14.

Learn how to pick a song that fits your voice, prepare for a performance and create a stage presence.

Krista Wendle’s workshop is designed to prepare you for your big musical debut.

The public performance will take place as part of Music on Main, in Columbiana, Ala., on July 24.

The participants will open the night for The Sassy Brown Band who takes the stage at 6:30 p.m.

Wendle is a professional vocal teacher for the Shelby County Arts Council.

She toured the Southern United States with various musical groups for more than eight years, playing such venues as the Hard Rock Cafe, U.S. Virgin Islands and at Universal Studios in Orlando.

She has opened for top acts, including David Lee Roth, formerly of Van Halen.

Wendle is experienced in many vocal styles, including jazz, country, top 40 and rock.

Her teaching is not only aimed at making you a better singer, but also a more effective performer.
