HELENA–The Jane B. Holmes Public Library in Helena will be celebrating its 28th year at its location at 230 Tucker Road and plans have been made to celebrate the occasion on Thursday, Sept. 17.
“We’re going to have our birthday party and have refreshments along with our book sale,” said Library Director Dan Dearing.
Along with the party and book drive, the Jane B. Holmes Library is looking to upgrade its marketing for the library and there will be samples of new logos available for public input.
“We’ll have a table with information about the library and we’ll be accepting book, movies and music for donation in good condition,” said Dearing. “A lot of people in town like our sale and it’s a good chance to rummage through and find some books for a good price that you don’t have to worry about returning and it’s just a fun thing. It’s also a good time to update your card.”
The Jane B. Holmes Library has helped citizens of all ages in Helena for many years. For the younger crowd, Helena has offered a summer reading program with weekly events as well as offering story time.
For adults, the library offers a wide variety of books, publications, music and movies. The library offers free computer and wifi access and a quiet study room.
The current hours for the Jane B. Holmes Library are Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
